Hela Kallel worked for over 20 years at the Institut Pasteur de Tunis in Tunisia, where she led the bioprocess development laboratory. Her work focused on process improvement and the development of vaccines and therapeutic proteins, primarily using animal cells and yeasts.

In January 2020, Hela joined Univercells as Vaccine Process Development Manager, where she led the measles-rubella and hepatitis A vaccine projects, as well as analytical science activities. In January 2022, she transitioned to mRNA technology, leading Process Development at Quantoom Biosciences. Currently, she heads Vaccine Co-Development at Univercells.

Hela holds a Ph.D. in biotechnology from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL) in France and is the author of over 40 peer-reviewed publications.
